Family Support Program

The Family Connection Center Family Support Programs hosts three programs: Parent Education, Therapy and Crisis/Respite Nursery. The Parent Education program focuses on the prevention of crisis in at-risk families through weekly home visits and parent education classes, providing parenting skills, training, and literacy enhancement leading to family stability and children’s educational success. In effort to protect children, FCC provided a total of 16,813 hours of care to infants and children from ages 0-12. Of that total 1,663 hours of crisis care were provided to infants and children who would have otherwise been exposed to abuse, neglect and domestic violence. To strengthen families and individuals FCC provided over 2,000 hours of counseling sessions at a reduced rate to assist families to overcome mental illness, revictimization of abuse and increase societal functioning.
