During the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday Season, low income individuals and families may come in and apply for a Holiday Food Box which consists of a turkey and all the trimmings (mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, a pie, rolls, etc.)

Thanksgiving and Christmas are fast approaching. We are now beginning the resistration process for holiday food boxes. Come in to one of our offices starting on October 1, 2008 with the required paperwork to register. Be sure that you meet the qualification guidelines and that you bring in all the required paperwork!

How Can I Apply?
Individuals or families that have an active food card or an active case with the Food Bank just have to sign up at the Layton Office.
If you are new or have an inactive food card, you must meet all the following requirements to qualify you will need to fill out an application, a client budget worksheet, and a needs assessment, and turn it in to the Layton Office. You will need to meet all of the following requirements to qualify for the program: (
- You must be a Davis or Morgan County resident and bring in proof of residency (current utility bill or lease agreement)
- You must bring in original Social Security Cards (no copies) for all members of the household. If none are available the following are accepted: birth certificates, school records, Department of Workforce Services printout, and IRS numbers.
- You must bring in proof of income (current paycheck stubs, award letter from DWS, SSI, SSD, pension, child support, etc.)
- You must bring in photo identification for all adult members in the household
- You must meet 150% of the Federal Poverty guideline (see chart below)

All adults 18 or older must apply for their own food card unless they are a spouse or a child still in high school.
Dates for distribution of holiday food boxes are announced in advance. The regular Food Bank operations are suspended on holiday food box distribution days.
